Overview
Bonecrusher is a no-frills “working-class” streetpunk band that originated in Orange County (O.C.), California, in 1992. The band was forged from the ashes of the 1980s Orange County punk and hardcore scene, drawing members from highly regarded local outfits such as Sacred Hatred, Pig Children, and Patriots Dead. They are considered one of the major and most influential groups in the California street punk scene.

What We Play, How We Live With A Working Class Sound
Bonecrusher plays heavy-driven, straightforward Streetpunk / Oi! characterized by sincere energy, dense guitar sound, powerful vocals, and brash, straightforward melodies.
From the beginning, the band maintained a fiercely independent attitude, choosing to follow their own path rather than catering to the demands of their label. This commitment to the “do-it-yourself” ethos and their raw, “from the street” lyrics quickly earned them a loyal, dedicated fanbase. Their music is often described as providing pure, sincere energy directly addressing working-class themes.

Early History & Defining Moments
The band’s early career was marked by self-destructive periods involving lineup changes, drug issues, and jail time for some members, temporarily slowing their momentum. However, they returned invigorated in the late 1990s and cemented their legacy.
A legendary moment in their history occurred at a “Battle of the Punk Bands” show in Anaheim. Their explosive performance led to the club owners pulling the plug and calling the police. Undaunted, the lead vocalist, Raybo, continued to wail the song with the crowd, creating an unforgettable riot-like scene. Though they were penalized for the chaos, the event solidified their place in O.C. punk lore as a band synonymous with raw, untamed energy.
